On behalf of the industry, ASC is committed to building consumer awareness about advertising self-regulation and
the Canadian Code of Advertising Standards. Our research indicates that consumer confidence in advertising
increases with knowledge of a national advertising self-regulatory body, the Code and the consumer complaints mechanism.
Our most recent ASC Public Service Announcement (PSA) program plays an important
part in our efforts to reach Canadian consumers. The PSAs highlight the role the Canadian Code of Advertising Standards
plays in setting standards for advertising that is truthful, fair and accurate.
