Keeping consumers informed and aware of Canadian advertising standards is an integral part of responsible industry
self-regulation. Our ongoing Public Service Announcement (PSA) program plays an important part in reaching Canadian consumers.
The Canadian Code of Advertising Standards is the principle instrument of advertising self-regulation. The Code sets
the standards for advertising that is truthful, fair and accurate. It is the foundation on which our new PSA campaign
was built, and the inspiration behind our message that “Truth in Advertising Matters.”
Our PSA program has been generously supported by many newspaper and magazine publishers, radio and television
broadcasters and out-of-home media providers. We thank our media partners for their generous support with this
