Consumer Perspectives on Advertising 2016

What do Canadians really think of advertising? To find out, ASC regularly conducts research to probe consumer perceptions about advertising. ASC’s 2016 research, conducted by The Gandalf Group, provides great insights. How do consumers feel about the portrayal of men and women in advertising? What are their general perceptions of ads across media types? What advertising themes are acceptable and unacceptable to them? Join us for the release of this important research and find the answers to these questions and more.

Discussion panel: How to react to consumers perceptions?

Everyone has something to say about advertising. It affects us in many different ways and to know consumers’ perceptions about it is a big plus for both advertisers and their agencies. What is acceptable and unacceptable in today’s advertising? From the perfect and successful woman to the sex object, the portrayal of women in advertising is one of the issues covered that still raises vigorous debates in our society. Join A2C, ASC and our panel for an animated discussion on advertisers’ visions and consumers’ perceptions. Be ready for a lively discussion!
