Join ASC and our panel for this provocative discussion to explore the negative portrayals of women that still persist in some advertising.

According to statistics, women are responsible for 85% of purchase decisions. Despite this, some marketers continue to objectify women in advertising, and misogynistic marketing is still being used to peddle everything from cars, clothing and spirits to handbags.

What does this say about our business, and about society itself? The problem is obvious but the solutions aren’t. Our expert panel will debate the causes and potential remedies.

Everyone has something to say about advertising. But what do Canadians really think? To find out, ASC regularly conducts research to probe consumer perspectives about advertising. Our 2016 research, conducted by The Gandalf Group, provides great insights. How do consumers feel about the portrayal of men and women in advertising? What are their general perceptions of ads across media types? What advertising themes are acceptable and unacceptable to them? Join us for the release of this important research and find the answers to these questions and more.
