ASC Clearance Services will present an advertising workshop designed to help cosmetics advertisers and their agencies create compliant cosmetic advertising messages. Working with the new Guidelines for the Nonprescription and Cosmetic Industry Regarding Non-therapeutic Advertising and Labelling Claims (which replace the 2006 Guidelines for Cosmetic Advertising and Labelling Claims), ASC staff will discuss how to differentiate non-therapeutic/cosmetic claims from therapeutic/health claims that require authorization from Health Canada. This workshop will be of particular interest to regulatory affairs, marketing and advertising agency professionals who are new to the cosmetic industry or involved in the development of cosmetic advertising or advertising for nonprescription drug and natural health products that make non-therapeutic/cosmetic claims.
