Everyone does have something to say about advertising. But what do Canadians really think?
To find out, ASC commissioned The Gandalf Group to conduct research to gain insights into consumers’ attitudes about advertising. What do today’s consumers think about advertising? What do they find acceptable or not, and have consumers’ concerns changed over time? Do concerns about advertising affect purchase decisions? And can we identify any important differences by region, language or between women and men?
Join us for the release of the results of this important and timely research.

David Herle is a Principal Partner with The Gandalf Group. Formerly a partner in the Earnscliffe Strategy Group, David is a nationally recognized leader in public opinion research, strategic advice and communications strategies. He advises clients about brand image and reputation management in various sectors of the economy.
Understanding the forces that drive the economy is a major focus of his work. The Gandalf Group conducts the quarterly C Suite Survey featured in the Report on Business and BNN as well as the Bensimon Byrne quarterly Consumerology Report. The Gandalf Group previously conducted research for ASC in 2011.
David received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Regina, and was called to the Bar in Ontario after receiving his LLB from the University of Saskatchewan.
