Ad Complaints Reporting
ASC’s Ad Complaints Reports are an important part of the advertising industry’s consumer response mechanism. The Reports
provide valuable insights into consumer concerns about issues relating to advertising, and how the Standards Council interprets
and applies the Code’s clauses.
The Reports include:
Search Complaint Case Summaries
Recent Complaint Case Summaries
Administratively Resolved Complaints
Annual Ad Complaints Report
- case summaries of consumer complaints about advertisements that were found to contravene the Canadian Code of Advertising Standards (Code) by the independent Standards Council,
- statistical reports on complaints that were administratively resolved by ASC,
- an annual Ad Complaints Report, which provides statistical information about the reporting year’s complaints and insights on current issues relating to advertising complaints.
