ASC’s Cosmetic Clearance staff can help you maintain the integrity of your advertising copy, while ensuring it meets regulatory requirements. Our professional bilingual Clearance Analysts review cosmetic broadcast advertising copy to ensure compliance with the regulations and guidelines affecting cosmetics.

The Cosmetic Advertising Clearance function was transferred to ASC from Health Canada in 1992. Since that time, ASC has continued to work in cooperation with industry and government to revise and update the advertising guidelines for this product category.

The latest version of the Guidelines for Cosmetic Advertising and Labelling Claims was published in February 2006. This joint publication of ASC and Health Canada demonstrates a unique partnership between the public and the private sector.
