ASC Clearance Services Team

The ASC Clearance Services team has a depth of experience and expertise across all five categories of advertising preclearance. Review services are available in both French and English and are carried out by analysts who are experts in their respective fields and have extensive knowledge of advertising and communications. Each ASC analyst is dedicated to working collaboratively, consultatively and responsively to help advertisers meet applicable regulatory requirements and industry guidelines.

Nicole Bellam

Vice President, ASC Clearance Services
Nicole has more than 20 years experience in advertising, most recently as Group Account Director, Vice-President, in the agency world. She has worked with a wide range of large national and international clients in agencies in Montreal and Toronto. She has acquired expertise in a number of relevant business sectors, including packaged goods, restaurants and cosmetics. Nicole, who holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Concordia University, is fluently bilingual, and has an excellent knowledge of communications in English and French markets.

Jean Larivière

Senior Analyst, Children’s, Alcoholic Beverage and Food Sections & Client Services Manager
Jean holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Communications from the University of Ottawa. Before joining ASC in 1999, Jean was an artistic director for a university and theatre company, a managing editor and a tour and marketing manager for an entertainment group. He currently reviews advertising for food and non-alcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages and children’s advertising.

Dan Perry

Analyst, Children's, Alcoholic Beverages and Cosmetics Sections
Dan holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Toronto. Before joining ASC, Dan was a support and content specialist for a music retail company, a newspaper copy editor and a university communications officer. Dan is fully bilingual.

Ruta Rozentals

Senior Analyst, Consumer Drug and Cosmetics Sections
Ruta is a licensed pharmacist with more than 14 years of pharmacy experience. She is a graduate of the Pharmacy (BSc. Pharm) program at the University of Toronto and is a member of the Ontario Pharmacists' Association and the Canadian Pharmacists Association.

Louise Swift

Senior Analyst, Food, Consumer Drug and Cosmetic Sections
Louise has more than ten years of experience in advertising copy clearance review in the areas of food, cosmetics and consumer drugs. Prior to joining ASC in 1992, she spent five years as a Food Specialist with Consumer and Corporate Affairs Canada in labelling and advertising compliance. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemistry from the University of Guelph. Louise is fully bilingual.

Charlotte Wurz

Analyst, Consumer Drug Section
Charlotte joined ASC with more than 11 years in the pharmaceutical industry, having held positions in quality control and regulatory affairs in international brand-name pharmaceutical organizations. In addition to Charlotte’s studies in pharmaceutical chemical technology, she has received accreditation from the Council for Continuing Pharmaceutical Education.
